 With our new lighting program for care facilities, Schyns Medizintechnik is setting new standards in functionality, design, and well-being.

Our luminaires combine state-of-the-art technology with thoughtfully designed lighting concepts—enhancing efficiency in the daily routines of care staff while creating a comfortable environment for patients. From glare-free illumination and Human Centric Lighting to customized LED solutions, we offer the right product for a wide range of visual tasks.

We are pleased to introduce our latest lighting program, designed as a meaningful addition to our established portfolio of medical supply units.

At Schyns, we understand how crucial the right lighting is for patient well-being and the efficiency of medical personnel. Light plays a key role in shaping hospital environments and has a direct impact on the comfort of patients, visitors, and staff.

In recent years, awareness of the importance of lighting in healthcare has grown significantly. Well-planned lighting design can positively influence not only healing processes but also patients’ mood and overall quality of life.

Our lighting program offers a harmonious combination of functionality and aesthetics, covering all common types of luminaires. Carefully coordinated lighting atmospheres can support patient recovery while assisting staff with a variety of visual tasks.

A central focus of our luminaires is the reduction of glare. We have integrated innovative technologies that ensure uniform light distribution while minimizing disruptive reflections. This allows doctors and nursing staff to perform their duties efficiently and without visual strain.

In addition, our lighting program takes into account the diverse visual tasks encountered in hospitals. Whether conducting examinations, administering medication, or providing general patient care—our luminaires deliver optimal light intensity and color for every situation.

Another key aspect is the evaluation of COI (Color Rendering Index). In a hospital setting, accurate color rendering contributes to diagnostic reliability and enhances patient well-being. Luminaires with a high COI value are not only essential for medical work but also help create a pleasant atmosphere that supports recovery. Therefore, considering COI is of great importance when planning and selecting lighting solutions.

Our range includes fixed color temperatures (3,000 K and 4,000 K) as well as Schyns Human Centric Lighting solutions (1,800 K to 16,000 K).

Human Centric Lighting (HCL) in hospitals is an innovative approach aimed at improving the well-being of patients and staff through targeted lighting design. This concept aligns lighting with the human biological rhythm, mimicking natural daylight patterns. Warm, calming tones at night and brighter, activating light during the day can enhance mood, sleep quality, and recovery. At the same time, HCL supports staff by promoting concentration and productivity.
