Multisensory design is not only about creating the right atmosphere but also about the functional integration of medical supply units (MSUs). These units are essential for medical care, but they should be designed to blend harmoniously into the room concept and support the healing process.

Medical Supply Units: Function meets design


MCUs are central elements in patient rooms that enable the supply of gases, electricity, and data. Traditionally, they were integrated into the space in a functional and often visible manner. Modern approaches, however, aim for an aesthetically pleasing design that does not dominate the space but rather complements it.

Integration into the Interior Design


Through the use of natural materials, harmonious color schemes, and ergonomic designs, medical supply units can be designed to blend seamlessly into the overall concept of multisensory planning. This not only contributes to functional efficiency but also promotes the well-being of patients and nursing staff.

Impact on the Healing Process


A well-thought-out design of medical furniture can reduce stress, improve working conditions for nursing staff, and thus indirectly support the healing process for patients. By treating medical furniture not only as functional but also as aesthetic elements, the space as a whole is perceived as more pleasant and conducive to healing.
