Less visible technology – more space for healing

Less technology in the field of view doesn’t mean less care—it often means better healing.

In everyday clinical practice, it’s not just efficiency that matters—but also how a patient feels.
The current film clearly shows how simple the Schyns device channel is for nursing staff to use: accessories can be attached without tools, positioned flexibly, and removed just as quickly. This saves time, reduces complexity, and ensures smooth daily operations.
But the key point goes deeper: the psychological effect on the patient.

An overcrowded patient room quickly feels technical, restless, and stressful. This connection is scientifically proven. One of the most well-known studies by Roger S. Ulrich (“View through a Window May Influence Recovery from Surgery,” Science, 1984) shows that visual stimuli and the environment have a measurable impact on stress levels, pain perception, and recovery.
Building on this, further research—such as Ulrich et al. (“The Role of the Physical Environment in the Hospital of the 21st Century,” 2004, The Center for Health Design)—demonstrates that reduced, clearly structured environments lower stress and improve patients’ orientation and sense of safety.

The conclusion is straightforward: only what is truly needed should be visible in the room.

This is exactly where the Schyns device channel shows its strength:
→ Accessories are only attached when needed
→ Unnecessary technology disappears from view
→ The room appears organized, calm, and controlled

The result is an environment that doesn’t resemble intensive care, but rather a structured, safe place—an important factor for well-being and, consequently, the healing process.
In addition, there is another often underestimated advantage: planning reliability.

The Schyns device channel is integrated into nearly all Schyns products. For planners and operators, this means:
 → a consistent system
 → no additional equipment rails
→ no need for structural retrofitting
 → clear cost predictability
Technically sound, economically efficient, and consistently designed with people in mind.
