New Schyns S 130 - Lighting Quality for Modern Architecture
The new Schyns S 130 medical wall light sets new standards in architecture and light quality (CRI > 90, 1,000 lux, DIN EN 1.2464)
Lighting Quality for Modern Architecture
As the successor to the tried-and-true S 121, it offers even greater design flexibility combined with high-quality finishes and sustainable technology. With this luminaire, light becomes a design element in healthcare architecture.
The S 130 replaces the proven S 121
With the S 130, we are introducing the next generation of medical wall lights. It replaces the long-standing S 121 and sets new standards in architecture, functionality, and hygiene. For architects and facility operators, this means greater freedom in planning, more design options, and the consistent use of high-quality materials.
Modern healthcare architecture demands solutions that blend into the space both aesthetically and functionally. The S 130 meets this requirement with clean lines, a thoughtful choice of materials, and a design language that creates atmosphere.
Design integration: HPL fronts with over 22,000 finishes—or in combination with aluminum. Anodized surfaces: Standard in Alu E6EV1, optionally available in a wide range of anodized colors. These surfaces are not only visually elegant but also resistant to scratches, corrosion, and cleaning agents. Timeless design language: Minimalist geometry that fits into both classic and modern interior concepts.
The S130 offers more than just standard-compliant lighting—it creates atmosphere, precision, and orientation.
Natural light perception: A high color rendering index (CRI > 90) ensures realistic and accurate color perception—crucial for diagnosis and treatment. Standard-compliant performance: In the Milalux version, the S130 meets the requirements of DIN EN 12464 and achieves an illuminance of 1,000 lux on the examination surface—ideal for more complex medical procedures. Reliable diagnostics: The Cyanosis Observation Index (COI > 3.3) ensures that skin changes and cyanosis can be reliably detected—an important contribution to patient safety. Versatile Scenarios: General lighting, reading light, examination and treatment light, ambient light, and night light. Biologic Health Light (HCL): Dynamically adapts to the circadian rhythm, promoting health and well-being.
Architecture in healthcare must be functional—both in operations and in patient care.
Tool-free integration of accessories: Via the continuous Schyns groove. Electronically adjustable reading lamp: Maximum flexibility for bed positioning. Consistently hygienic design: Flat construction, few edges, easy to clean, resistant to disinfectants.
Ecology and longevity are crucial in the planning of modern facilities.
Recyclable materials & durable anodized surfaces.
Zhaga standard for LED modules—ensuring long-term interchangeability and modernizability. Energy-efficient LED technology—economically and ecologically sound.
With the S 130, you’re not just creating light, but an architectural element that shapes spaces and supports both patients and staff alike. It is the clear successor to the S 121—offering greater design freedom, high-quality anodized aluminum options, and a consistently sustainable focus.
